URBAN PLANNING MAJOR (TROYES CAMPUS)
This major offers a broad approach to urban planning based on an analysis of different urban fl ows: energy, population, circulation, information, water, trade, etc.
By analysing usages and taking on board future challenges, it will introduce those areas in which innovation will make it possible to design sustainable buildings.
This approach comes within the scope of Le Corbusier’s vision: “The four main functions of the city are: housing, work, recreation (in free time) and transport.”
The objective is to train engineers who are likely to go on to become project managers in the field of urban engineering and are capable, in a context of collective planning, to understand all the dimensions of urban territory and to provide a bridge between all players with an influence on the city and its construction.
