A busy integration week for new students

At the EPF campuses, new students were welcomed by Emmanuel Duflos, Dean and Director, before embarking on a tour of their new environment. Accompanied by the student unions (BDE), they explored the various aspects of student life and met the associations that will shape their year.

This integration week featured several workshops designed to help students prepare for the year ahead. A workshop on interpersonal communication provided students with essential tools to broaden their verbal and non-verbal skills, helping them become open-minded and engaged engineers. Another workshop, focused on combating harassment and gender-based violence, addressed topics such as consent, sexual assault, and the role of bystanders. Finally, students participated in the essential Climate Fresk, an interactive workshop raising awareness of environmental issues.

An unforgettable integration weekend

The highlight of the week was the Integration Weekend (WEI), held from September 5 to 7 at Fierbois Park, in Tours. Organized by the BDEs and BDSs, this event brought together over 500 students from the Paris-Cachan, Troyes, Montpellier, and Saint-Nazaire campuses.

Students enjoyed a full program: inflatable games, stand-up paddleboarding, towed buoys, bubble football, canoeing, swimming, as well as festive evenings and volleyball, basketball, and football games.

Welcoming international students

At the same time, the Paris-Cachan, Troyes, and Montpellier campuses opened their doors to international students from various backgrounds: Africa (Cameroon, Morocco, Tunisia), Europe (Sweden, Italy, Germany), Brazil, and Mexico.

The ESN EPF association on the Paris-Cachan campus made their integration easier by introducing the exchange semester process. After a friendly lunch, these students met with their academic coordinators and settled into their new cities.

Whether from local regions or abroad, EPF students are beginning this academic year under the best conditions. We wish them all a year full of learning, friendships, and discoveries!
