The FabAdd platform on the Troyes campus offers a wide range of tools, techniques and methods tailored to the research and training projects carried out at the school. Its purpose is twofold: firstly, it supports research activities primarily concerning the improvement of mechanical properties and the functionalisation of advanced materials. It adopts a comprehensive approach, from digital engineering through to the post-processing of complex parts produced by additive manufacturing.

Secondly, it reinforces the skills acquired by future graduates in additive manufacturing. In this way, it forges a link between education, research, and innovation through dedicated research/educational projects.

Student life is facilitated by the many amenities on site. Work cubicles are provided for students. A ‘home’ living space combines playful and practical aspects – it’s equipped with tables and a microwave so that students can eat during their lunch breaks. The football and ping pong tables offer a friendly place to relax and meet friends.

Sports enthusiasts can take part in a wide range of activities during certain time slots on the sports grounds and gyms near campus.

Troyes, so much more than a campus!

Troyes attracts visitors with its rich heritage, medieval streets (including the surprisingly narrow ruelle des Chats!) and timber-framed houses. Troyes is also renowned for its religious heritage: half of France's stained-glass windows are to be found in the many churches scattered around the city. The art of stained glass has its own museum, La cité du vitrail, which takes visitors through the centuries, from the Middle Ages to the present day, and explores its many stylistic, historical, technical and iconographic aspects.

For lovers of the great outdoors, those who like to get out and about, or simply those looking for a relaxing change of scenery, the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park is the place to be in the Trojan region! Home to some remarkable wildlife, the Forêt d'Orient regional park can be explored by bike or on foot, thanks to 25 signposted hiking trails. Water sports are not to be outdone, especially in summer: kayaks, windsurfing boards and catamarans give you a whole new perspective on this natural park.

At the crossroads of Champagne and Burgundy, discover the Pays d'Othe-Armance. Famous for its chaource, a cheese with a bloomy rind, this region is home to numerous works of art and exceptional crafts.

Only 1.5 hours away from Paris and situated between Reims and Dijon, Troyes Champagne Métropole enjoys a privileged position - which is not its only asset. A vibrant hub of economic activity, the city has been able to promote its heritage in the textile industry to become the European capital of outlet centres. Every year, it welcomes over 4.5 million visitors to its four major factory outlet centres.

Birthplace of the Knights Templar and historic capital of Champagne, Troyes has been awarded the title of City of Art and History, making it a highly popular tourist centre.

The city is home to more than 11,000 students and has been ranked as the 8th best place to carry out your studies. Students and future entrepreneurs can rely on the Aube technology park to support them in their projects.
