In-company placements enable students to develop and strengthen their close ties with the professional world.
One of EPF’s major concerns is to train students who are adaptable and functional in business as soon as they graduate.
To that end, engineering students carry out multiple compulsory internships throughout their degree, in companies both in France and abroad.
The school supports all students in their search for an internship.
General course
This internship is carried out under a fixed-term contract and lasts a minimum of four weeks (or 151 hours).
Location: in France or abroad
Time period: between mid-June and end of August
Aims: as their first experience of working life, this internship is intended to allow first-year students to discover all aspects of the company: teamwork, hierarchy, working hours, and corporate culture.
This internship is contracted and lasts for a minimum of four weeks (or 151 hours), on a continuous, full-time basis.
Location: in France or abroad
Time period: between mid-June and end of August
Aims: this internship raises awareness about civic engagement and encourages open-mindedness and understanding of social phenomena.
This internship is contracted and lasts a minimum of 16 weeks (or 560 hours) and a maximum of 26 weeks (or 924 hours) on a continuous, full-time basis.
Location: in France or abroad
Time period: between the end of August and end of December
Aims: this internship is intended to enrich the student’s industrial experience and knowledge of the company, i.e. operating mechanisms, understanding of the various aspects of the engineering profession within different business sectors, and human relations.
This internship can take place in the following ways:
- Internship agreement
- V.I.E. contract
- Student entrepreneur status
It lasts a minimum of 24 weeks (or 840 hours) and a maximum of 26 weeks (or 924 hours) on a continuous, full-time basis.
Location: in France or abroad
Time period: between the beginning of February and the end of November
Aims: The aim of the internship is to allow all graduates to find a job in line with their career plan. This project is intended to enrich the student engineer’s industrial experience and allow them to better understand their future profession.
