Major
Aeronautical engineering & Space systems
This major has been developed to prepare general engineers with a sound knowledge of the aeronautics and space sectors, combined with a high level of expertise in systems engineering for a structured, multi-disciplinary approach to design and integration.
By following a systems approach, you will acquire a wide range of skills on all aspects of the design of an aeronautical or space vehicle.
Course description
Compulsory modules:
- General knowledge
- Digital technologies
- Aeronautical & space systems
- Applied mechanics
- Structure & materials modeling
Compulsory modules:
- Systems design
- On board energy
During this major, students can finalize the engineering profile of their choice by following one of the two proposed tracks:
Studies & Design
Aeronautics & Space Industry
These 2 tracks enable students to discover the full range of engineering professions in the aerospace sector.
Real-world projects to develop your employability
In addition to projects carried out in partnership with companies from the aeronautics and space sector, several projects involving systems engineering methodology are offered:
In the 4th year: Academic project simulating a design office responding to a client’s needs.
Example: study and design of an actuation system for an aircraft elevator. In the 5th year: Professional project addressing a real-world challenge or concrete case.
Supervised project with an industrial partner
Example: preliminary design of a business jet (Dassault Aviation).Supervised project with an academic association
Example: testing and validation of a solid-propellant rocket engine (Astro EPF).
